I went from copy-pasting ChatGPT outputs to actually trusting them

What was your experience with AI before taking the course?

I was using ChatGPT every day but always felt like I was fighting it. I would get these generic, fluffy outputs and spend more time editing them than if I had just written the thing myself. I thought maybe AI just wasn't that useful for marketing work. It turns out I was just writing terrible prompts.

What made you decide to take AI Prompt Basics?

A colleague showed me a prompt she used to write a full campaign brief. The output was actually good. Like, publishable good. I asked her where she learned that and she sent me the link. I signed up the same evening.

Was there a specific lesson that changed how you work?

The module on context. I never realised how much AI needs to know about you — your audience, your goal, your tone — before it can give you anything useful. It sounds obvious in hindsight but I was just asking questions into a void. Once I started giving proper context, everything got better immediately.

What does your workflow look like now?

I have a few prompt templates I reuse for recurring tasks — social copy, email subject lines, brief summaries for the leadership team. I spend maybe five minutes setting up the context once and then I can run variations in seconds. My manager asked me last week how I was producing so much content. I just smiled.

Who would you recommend this course to?

Anyone who uses AI and feels like they are not getting what they expected from it. The course is short, practical, and every exercise is something you could actually use at work the next day. It is not theoretical — you do the work and you feel the difference right away.
